: International traffic signs types
Signs have been classified according to their meaning, with colors and shapes being chosen for each type so as to make it easier to distinguish them. They are lassified as follows:
1. Warning signs: the purpose of these signs is to warn people using the roads that there is a danger ahead.
2. Regulatory signs: the purpose of these signs is to inform drivers of their obligations and rights These signs are the basis for (rules and regulations) and are divided into:
a. Priority signs.
b. Prohibitory signs.
c. Mandatory.
3. Informative signs: The purpose of these signs is to guide drivers by providing them with useful information. These signs are divided into:
a. Lane delineation signs.
b.Direction signs.
c. Location signs.
d.Service signs.
e. Other signs that give driver any information that may be useful.
